Benson Brook Road Transfer Station in Marion
RULES & REGULATIONS
Effective June 5, 2007
Hours of Operation: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Tuesday - Saturday
Directions:
- From Carver-Route 58 South to Route 495 South to Exit 1 (Rte. 195).
- Get off at the Marion Exit 20. At end of ramp take a right onto Route 105.
- Come to the 1st set of lights and take a right onto Route 6.
- Benson Brook Road is down about a mile on the right.
No vehicles will be permitted to enter the Transfer Station without a town-issued resident sticker

The Benson Brook Road Transfer Station will accept the following items from Carver Residents:

- Household Trash
- Bulky Residential Wastes (couches, chairs, etc.)
- Wood Waste from Small Homeowner's Projects (maximum length 3 feet)
- Recyclables (Pre-sorted & Clean)
- Clean, Loose Newsprint (no plastic or paper bags)
- Cardboard & Paper: including magazines, computer paper, corrugated cardboard, flat cereal boxes & junk mail
- Co-Mingles: glass, plastic, tin & aluminum
- Light Metals: stoves, bicycles, gas grills, lawnmowers, & misc. metals
- Empty Propane Tanks
- The following items will be accepted for a fee of $25.00*:

- Refrigerators & Freezers
- Air Conditioners
- Televisions
- Computer Monitors
*Stickers must be purchased from the Board of Health at Town Hall.

The Benson Brook Road Transfer Station will NOT accept the following:
-
- Pressure Treated Wood
- Brush, Stumps, Logs & Stone
- Sheet Rock, Blue Board & Insulation
- Tires
- Mattresses & Box Springs
- Demolition & Construction Debris from Contractors
- Asphalt, Brick & Concrete
- Lead Batteries
Attendant has the right to reject waste that is over size or contains unacceptable material.
