The Committee is a five-member volunteer appointed board. The committee is responsible for general recreation policy, oversight of all town fields, as well as Sampson's pond and John's Pond. The committee also issues permits for recreational field use to all youth sports teams.
The Recreation committee meets the 1st Tuesday of each month 7:00 p.m., the Selectmen's meeting Room, 2nd floor of the Town Hall. Meetings are open to the public and we encourage all youth sports team representatives to attend. The committee is continually looking for new ways to serve the Towns recreational needs, please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns, suggestions or input. Also see our Bulletin Board located in the Lobby of Town Hall, and soon the Library.

Volunteers are Needed Volunteers are needed to help run Summer Craft Programs, Sport clinics, an Adult Volleyball League, events at Old Home Day and Family Fun day on behalf of the Recreation Department. Please fill out an application in the Selectmen's office and attend a Recreation meeting to see where you can be of some help.
Swimming Instructors & Lifeguards The Carver Recreation Committee is looking for Aquatics Swimming Instructor(s), Assistant Swimming Instructor & Lifeguards for Summer 2007 view flyer . Please apply in person at the Selectmen's office, or e-mail your resume to carverrecreation@yahoo.com.
Swimming lessons are availble through the end of August.

Upcoming Programs
- Carver Old Home Day is held on the last Saturday of July. Residents old & new gather at Shurtleff Park for an extended family reunion and to celebrate our a sense of Community.
- Museum of Science will visit June 29th. Pick up tickets at the Library.
- Adult Volleyball will be held Monday and Wednesday Nights at the High School 8:30 – 10:00pm April - May. Look for fall league to start in September..
- Free Edaville Passes Now Available – To get your pass you must be a Carver Resident only; please call or e-mail your date request and leave you name, address and phone number. You will then be contacted with your confirmation date. Passes are given out on a 1st-come-1st-served basis. Your request must be in within 2 weeks prior to your request date. Please review available dates before contacting us.
