Plumbing & Gas
Here is a list of some of the items that require Plumbing & Gas permits: propane storage tanks, back flow preventers, water heaters, new plumbing and or gas fixtures, remodeling of plumbing, just to name a few.
To set up inspections call anytime 508-866-3400 xt 1043 and leave a message and your call will returned between 7:15 and 8:00 am the following morning. If you wish to speak directly with the Plumbing/Gas Inspector, call between 7:15 and 8:00 am. Monday - Friday. All inspections are performed starting at 8:00 and are subject to the inspectors availability.
Keep in mind a licensed plumber needs to call in for the inspection.

To set up inspections with the inspector, call anytime. To speak with the inspector, leave your name, number and a brief message, and the inspector with return your call.
Here is a list of some of the items that require building permits: shed, wood stove, decks, remodeling/renovations, vinyl siding, roofing, additions, finishing basement area, swiming pools, hot tubs, carports, barns, windows, demolition, just to name a few.
Call between 8 and 10 am in the morning to speak with the Building Commissioner. The secretary is in the office and will take all messages if the Building Commissioner is out on inspections. Inspections should be called in a day ahead to ensure that there would be no scheduling conflicts.
